Help For Infested System
I'm working with my sister's PC and it appears to be rather severely infested with malware.
Symptoms include:
Lots of pop-ups, including Poker party
An unrequested toolbar attached to IE
Inability to download AdAware signatures
No ability to save preferences for users
I followed the instructions in the "Please Read This..." sticky, but I was unable to load the Adaware signatures.
The Trend Micro online scan cleaned up one virus but the pokapoka virus was uncleanable.
