Thanks again. The reason I thought these files got regened was that their creation date had changed.

Anyway, I did what you said, ran the killbox again and they are now gone!

I cleaned up their "Startup" stuff, deleted some of the things like "Quicken Startup", things they really don't have to have running. I also uninstalled the MS Spyware deal, as per your direction, and also uninstalled SpySweeper to keep the background processes to a minimum. I left the install file on the PC in case I need it in the future.

So, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. YOU ARE THE MAN!!! I could not have done this without your help, and I sincerely appreciate it.

I was watching one of the scans and saw some registry settings or hidden directories fly by that indicated that there was at one point some KAZAA stuff on the PC. I assume that is where the spyware came from. I will have a talk with the neices and nephews when I bring this PC back today.

Again, THANKS BIG TIME! I learned a lot.
