Hi all,
P4 3.6 processor, 1024 Mb ram, 47Gb h/d (single 10,000 rpm) Asus P4C800-E
deluxe motherboard, Msi radeon X850 Graphics card, multiple
system/cpu/graphics coolers and Tagan TG580-U22 580W pcu.running Windows XP home SP2 + ALL updates, all hardware has the latest manufacurers drivers, internet is NTL 3Mb via cable modem connected through ethernet, single connection so no networking involved, Norton AV and Zone alarm firewall. Any and ALL spyware etc etc is removed via XP antispy, adaware and spybot.
I play a lot of online games and use Team Speak as the communication
method.
in the last couple of months or so i have been getting regular and total
internet LAG, this happens every 10 mins or so and lasts for between 10
and 20 seconds, my game will lag out (often resulting in a server death)
and my Team Speak connection drops at the same time. This is NOT graphics
lag, but internet connection lag as detailed by the in game lagometer (
later viewed in demos). I have tested my connection via several internet
based sites and all is fine untill my demand for bandwidth rises then the
connection dies. I have played this game (SOF2) for almost 3 years with no
problems until recently. I even went to the trouble of "borrowing" my old
pc back from the little 'un and played the game with my old system and the
problem was still present...
I have NO unneeded programmes running while i am online ,no auto updates
no scans no internet based programmes, just essential windows services and
my game+ TeamSpeak and internet protection ie firewall ( i have tried with
both firewall and antivirus AND XP antispy dissabled but still no
difference)
anyone got any suugestions as to how i can stop this problem?
