hmmm

I am not sure if that board will run a 2.8 / most of the time the mobo manufactuer will extend the life of the board (bios upgrade)by maybe one processor build but i doubt two / generally speaking your not going to see any big diff from a 2.0 to 2.8 unless you can also change the bus speed dramitically or cpu speed dramatically. I personally would not spend more than $40.00 to play with such an upgrade. Besides the board and cpu you are using isnt that out of date / what are you looking to really improve gaming or applications ????? if its gaming than a video card upgrade will accomplish that !!

for the sake of discussion look into the re-selling value of your cpu vs the cost of the 2.6 or fingers crossed 2.8 / you may be able to sell yours then buy the upgrade and still only have 40.00 invested ??!!

ebay

good luck
