You can use P4's up to and maybe even a wisker past 2.4 mhz. The up to 133mhz is an incremental overclocking setting / you can step things up with increases as much as 133 additional mhz / but i doubt that a max overclock would deliver stable results. You could use a 533mhz bus speed processor / it will just step down to meet the abilities of your system. If you are able to sustain a 20% overclock with out undue stress on your system or overheating things you will have done well !!! 10 & 15% are more common.

you may well be able to achieve 460 to 480 bus speeds

what CPU are you running now ????? Most of the time upgrading intel cpu's to the highest level a mobo can use isnt worth the investment compared to the gains of what you were using ??? But then again we dont know what is the existing cpu?? maybe if you could find a 2.4 or 2.6 533mhz super cheap or given to you / then yeah Git er done!!

regards

joe
