how to broadcast
I posted a week or so ago but no answer at all. Maybe there was too much information in the post so I'll make it short here:
At canyouseeme.org I find that my momentary dynamic IP is let's say 2o1.138.21.xxx , however I get the same IP from whatever computer in our LAN I call the canyouseeme.org page.
Within the LAN, static IPs range from 192.168.0.1 to ...48 with the mask 255.255.255.0
What I want is to see my apache site from my home. At the computer at the office, I simply write 'localhost' into the browser and it shows up, same as when typing the 192.168....IP of the computer with the apache site into any other of the LAN's computers.
What do I have to do to get to this computer from outside the LAN? Configure static routing, Create virtual server, DMZ in the router's configuration?
