I think terrister nailed the problem. I've noticed on the Acronis forums

that there have been wireless/USB mouse issues recently. I run True Image with a Logitech cordless MX duo with no issues. It uses a USB to PS2 adapter. You're not alone. Some people have advocated enabling USB legacy support in the bios. I'm not sure how successful that's been. I'd go to TI's support forums and serch for issues similar to yours. Sorry I didn't have a clear answer.
