Wireless keyboard and mouse.

Hope this is the right forum.

I have a new system which uses the Microsoft Wireless Optical Keyboard and mouse - Comfort edition. I am using XP Home.

During bootup I can press DEL using the wireless keyboard, to enter the BIOS as you would normally expect. However, when using emergency recovery disks, it doesn't.

I am using Acronis True Image Version 8 to provide backups. I did my first backup and then rebooted to test it but the keyboard and mouse didn't work. I still had my old 'normal' keyboard and mouse and if I plug them in instead, (even on the fly) everything works fine.

Did the same using Partition Magic emergency recovery disks (2 x 1.44 MB floppy disks). When disk 1 finished loading, I put disk 2 in but couldn't "press any key to start" with the wireless keyboard only the normal one.

Is this a known problem with wireless keyboards? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks
