I don't know about this particular model, but my SMC Barricade has dial back-up capability, and I can have it automatically dial if the broadband connection is not present. Other than it's painfully slow, the transition is pretty seamless. I also used a dial-up proxy server from Multi-Tech for several years that did the same job as the broadband router.
