BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death), this hurts and is hard to track down.
Not sure what type of machine you have, desktop or laptop??
These can be tricky, more often a code problem (software/firmware/BIOS) than a hardware problem. But it is hard to tell. Could be power supply, ESD (Electro Static Discharge) or cooling problem as well.
I would start with the OS, make sure it is up to date. Go over all the drivers for the machine and make sure they are up to date as well. Hopefully Northgate used someone elses MOBO that is still in business that you can get support for.
The problem may also related to the sleep/hibernate mode as well. These usually require a BOIS fix to get sorted, however, you might be able to turn off this feature to see if the machine becomes more stable?
Good luck, I think you will need it!
