I have an XP desktop and a laptop that is running Vista and my router is a 2wire
tech specs:
LAN Interface - 4 port 10/100 Ethernet with Auto-crossover (RJ-45); 802.11g or high powered HyperG access point
ADSL Device configured for AT&T DSL services
Manufacturer - 2Wire
PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE) gateway / pass-through
WAN Interface - ADSL (RJ-11)
When I first got it (a year ago) setting up the network so that I can print from my laptop from anywhere in the house was not a problem. Not until I did a windows update a few months ago is when I could no longer connect the laptop to the desktop. I've tried some many different options.
The desktop is currently running XP Sp3 and I just recently added the Link-Layer Topology Discovery Responder and still nothing. Any suggestion?
