P4P800-E Deluxe Appears Dead

Built a new PC and all was well. About to close it up and decided I would connect the 2 front panel USB ports. I initially wasn't sure about the connectivity. In any event I believe I figured it out and connected them.

I turned on the PC, the cpu fan ran for about 2 seconds and them the PC shut down. I searched this board for a solution, found the USB connections and agan I believe I connected them correctly. It mentioned possibly blowing a fuse called P160... I located about 7 or 8 of these all over the board and they all still have conductivity.

I thought it might be the power supply, I tried to test it but I don't think you can really be sure unless its connected to a working MB. I brought it to Compusa, they tested it by pluggung the MB connector into some kind of device and they said it was OK.

I unplugged everything from the MB, reinstalled the PS and I still get nothing. For one moment the MB green led lit up but then went out and now I get response at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Bill
