Unfortunately my son ran the Norton scan and didn't remember/save any details.

However, i was able to proceed with the steps you outlined, but could not delete the two exe files TASKMDRU or MsimN32 until after I fixed them in Hijack this (I manually deleted them from the system 32 folder).

I'm currently re-starting in normal mode but I'm worried about those trojans. I'll post the log files you asked me for and hopefully you can make some sense of it.
