If this is an inkjet (must assume so from "Stylus Photo") then I may be able to steer you in the right direction.
My old Epson (and I believe all Epsons) have a plastic tube attached under the print heads. This tube sucks ink from the carts to the heads when the initialize power up phase starts.
If the tube falls off (like sooo many times on my CX5100) then no ink is drawn through and thus no printing.
BEFORE you start looking at the printer google the tech diagrams and maintenance manuals to make sure you can take it appart and put it back together !!.
