hi thelomographer i had a same problem i was using window vista ultimate now problem is solved .the main cause of this problem is trojan or virus . follow these steps in order to solve u problem .
step 1 run anti virus and trojan remover tool(in my case i used kaspersky internet security ) and remove trojan or virus
step 2 unistall every burning software
step 3 download malicious software removal tool form microsoft using updater
step 4 restart ur computer
step5 malicious software removal tool shoud start automatically if not run it manauly it will automatically detect malicious software and will remove it
this should sove ur problem
