missing .dll files

Hi,
I running windows xp pro on the machine I am having problems with. The machine has a couple of user profiles. But when I log into a certain user profile, not the admin account. I get the messege: error loading C:DOCUM~/user/APPLIC~1/gvava.dll. I see that is telling me that it is in the c:/documentsandsettings/user/localsettings/applicationdata/the.dll file. I am guessing that this missing .dll file is not a microsoft missing .dll file, I am also missing a ntlsv39.dll file. I am not sure if a virus caused the missing .dll files. That is what I am thinking. I have googled this and see all the free scanners you can download for free and then after they scan, you have to pay to have them fix your computer problems. I was wondering if a registery scanning software would fix this missing .dll file. If I am right about this that this will work, can anyone point me to a good free one that does work, or some opensource one that does work? The missing .dll files messege comes up as soon as you log, but you already know that. I am sure someone else has had this problem already here. I just didn't get a chance to go through the forums yet.
Thanks,
allyo
