My brother and I want to play the same online games as different opponents, obviously rquiring different IP's for each of us. Provider will give us 2 static IPs.

Now, I know I could install 2 routers on the WAN, each feeding a different subnet, with it's own IP. But that will cut the home network, and I don't want that.

Is there an inexpensive router that supports 2 IPs and can allow a file sharing LAN, while letting different machines on the LAN have different IP's

And an academic question (I'm pretty sure it's not possible, but there is logic in it):
You don't really need 2 STATIC IPs for the above, just 2 DIFFERENT IPs. So you could do it with 2 different dynamic IP's. I figured this should be easier for the ISP, although I have yet to find an ISP willing to add a 2nd dynamic IP to your account.

They will want to implement it with 2 accounts, 2 WAN lines and a duplicate set of hardware on the WAN side. ( This may be often cheaper than a business account with 2 STATIC IPs).

In that case, is there a router that can accept 2 WAN connections, and assign each one to specific machines on the LAN side, all while maintaining a filesharing network on the LAN side?
