If AVG is finding file issues, and you're having difficulties with normal Windows operations - I'd have to suspect either a virus or a massive Windows corruption.
It's possible that a virus has taken over your AVG's reporting - so an independent scan is required. Try some of these free, online scans to see if there's something there:

If you can't upload the reports, look to see if there's any files that end in .dmp listed. If there is, follow the instructions here:

Then copy/paste the analysis' here for us to have a look at.
