(very inconvenient time to go out of town)
Okay, first, there's two problems I forgot about originally:
~"Host Processes for Windows" and "Superfetch" have a tendency to crash. This doesn't seem to happen all the time, but it happens enough to be bothersome, and since I'm not sure exactly what these processes control, I thought they should be mentioned.
~I haven't gotten around to mounting the memtest .iso yet, but I will.
~Fallout3 no longer crashes the system, but it doesn't work, either (although this could just be the game, I know it's littered with bugs). Haven't had a chance to run other video intensive apps yet
~Firefox seems to be acting properly but that could be a coincidence.
~sfc wouldn't run properly (Windows Modules [or something along those lines] crashing), running in safe mode now.
Edit: Just ran via safe mode: "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation". This is the same error I got when I booted normally, but there were no process crashes this time.
I also followed the instructions in usasma's post, but, well, I can't upload it:
Websites no longer to "interact" with computer (browse, Photbucket, etc)
(yes, I'm in Safe Mode, and no, it didn't fix the above problem)
This is all starting to seem like some sort of awful puzzle.
