Re: Only one user of many keeps disconnecting from Term Server.

It is not a physical layer issue (at least local to the server location).

I guess I didn't give enough info on my situation. This terminal server is one of 4 servers we have here on site. it is the only one that we allow to be used as a "Terminal server" IE we have 4 clients that are outside sales reps that use a remote access VPN client via our Cisco ASA 5500 to attach to our local network and then rdp to the terminal server.

Any user that is local is functioning fine and does not get knocked off of the terminal session. 3 of the 4 clients that are remote, have no issues with the terminal server and perform pretty much the same functions as the 4th that is getting knocked off.

It is NOT tied to the users login, as I have duplicated his environment the best I can and do not have any problems. (I set up a separate laptop with a direct line to our backup ISP (Comcast) which is the same ISP as my problem user, then I run the Cisco ASA VPN client, then I RDP to the term server and log in as him. I experience no issues. I believe the issue is in his laptop, but I have no other term server to test with, and he is 200 miles away and rarely comes in to the office.

One thing that may be related, is that any time he (or anyone) logs in to the terms server (even locally from the console), 2 MrxSmb (Event ID 3034) errors are logged in the event log. Hopefully this additional info will help.

Thanks.
