You can set up a secondary IP address on a PC.
That won't work on the DSLAM though as the scenario you're looking at will be a factory reset. So, what you need is a layer 3 device in front of the DSLAM to make routing decisions for the 192.160.16.50 subnet that will be in place in the event of the customer performing a factory reset.
The way I see it, your options are:
- Might be easier, just to offer a managed service and remove their remote access rights!

- Alternatively, if you have an XP PC near the DSLAM, can you run a console cable from it to the DSLAM and just access the PC remotely as needed?
- Or if you have the budget, you could invest in an OOB console device.
