Re: Just installed Ubuntu, a few questions

Hi,

While NTFS isn't recognized natively as an file system there is a program that you can get called NTFS-3g. This allows you to mount your ntfs partiton and see it on your linux box.

Secondly I'm not sure which audio/video drivers I'll need to install to be able to play music/movies, play games etc. I have a JVC sterio system connected to my computer via USB but cant seem to get audio playing.
I would recommend trying a few different programs, Rhythm box is a good program for playing music, and should tell you that you need codecs in order to play them. As for movies there again are a lot of programs but a very good one is movie player, and it will help you the same way that Rhythm box does.

Cheers!
