Before considering Windows 7 x64, make sure you can find signed 64-bit drivers for ALL devices. Both Vista x64 & Windows 7 x64 mandate signed drivers. Deviced w/out them will not start up.

Take the advice given by csc2000e - try Windows 7 RC x86 (32-bit) test version first.
