ok thanks. I see what you're getting too, but I think I didn't make myself clear enough.

I've seen this on websites, from professional photographers. They basically had a smaller thumbnail of an image. With html they managed to fade the entire page from the corners of the site from black to an opaque grayish/black and the picture would center in the middle.

Now they're embedding the .jpg images, where you could just replace the content and use .swf instead. I would imagine this is entirely possible to do with flash, using html as the backbone. I just do not have the experience yet to figure it out.
