Hi

You mean to say, computer boots up normally and you get only the wallpaper. have you tried it in safe mode?? else try hitting(tapping) F8 key while the computer boots up. There you can see many options where you can try Last known good configuration, if it doesn't work try safe mode.

check and let me know this works!!
