My System

Multiple Driver Issue messing with display

Well I realize that I had solved this little problem before but I can't be too sure if it'll reappear or not. When I'm done doing whatever it is on my system I usually put it too sleep (easier than shutting down). Well occasionally, and sometimes more than occasionally whenever the system is awaken my resolution reverts back to 800X600. This has become such an issue lately as I always have to manually go into my display properties and fix it. Well I realized that my HD4850 has multiple monitor support but two video adapters were listed...both of them are my 4850 but one of them controls the generic pnp monotor and the other dsiplay seems to be stuck on the 800X600 display and cannot be changed. I think the dsiplays are switching on me until I go into the display properties and fix it. I went in and checked the drivers as well for the 800X600 display and it's a windows driver so I disabled it and it appears to have worked. I believe that my system was undergoing some confusion when I was waking the system up. Also there were windows drivers getting in the way which was mucking with the display. There was a windows update option as well from MS with regards to my Video Card. When I installed it I was unpleasantly surprised to find that I was unable to access my CCC Advanced screen. Windows had apparently hijacked my display but I wasn't getting the resolution issue anymore which I wasn't willing to trade up for. Just in case this it an issue with anyone else or if there is some sort of fix available. I checked the problem out on a search but it seems to be more of a laptop issue.
