OS: Windows Vista Home Premium (64 Bit - SP1)

Windows Media Center Volume Issue

Hi,

I have a HP HDX 16t laptop.
OS: Vista Home Premium 64 Bit (SP 2)

There seems to be an annoying problem when I use windows media center.

On this HP laptop, there are touch sensitive buttons through which you can change the volume, mute etc. Every time you do this, there is an on screen display that shows the volume going up or down etc.

Now when I'm using media center, and if I change the volume in full screen mode, then whatever I'm watching is briefly interrupted for the on screen display to pop up showing the volume going up or down. Note that the volume change also shows up within media center on the upper right corner.

This has not always been an issue and when I purchased this laptop this problem wasn't there. When the volume was changed within media center, only the upper right volume change bar showed up.

I recently had my hard drive replaced and maybe that has something to do with it but can't figure it out. Everything else runs fine and watching movies, tv etc. are all smooth.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks.
