Virtual PC .vhd file won't mount

Hello!

I'm not quite sure if this is the right section for my post... but I searched and couldn't find any similar thread.

I've got Microsoft Virtual PC 6.0.156.0 running on Vista SP1. I've got a XP VM running in Virtual PC with one .vhd for all the XP system files (like C: drive) and an additional secondary .vhd from an old VM with files.

So far so good.... Now I've also got another .vhd from an old VM with files which I've mounted as a tertiary .vhd in Virtual PC's settings. Now for some strange reason this .vhd won't show up when I click on My Computer in the XP VM! The secondary vhd shows up fine...

I've got quite some important files on that tertiary vhd...! I've tried to use WinImage to mount it on my host - but it won't work. I get two error messages:

You are trying to open a hard disk image without a FAT or FAT32 partition.

and

Error reading file W:\VM-HD3_Test+Development_WinXP.vhd

Thanks for your help.
