Overheating

Hey so i have a similar problem and its definately a heat problem [the top of the laptop gets super hot when its about to over heat... well it gradually gets super hot... anyway I have been removing the bottom protective panel because i have an external fan already and honestly... ive hooked it up with a freakin 12v power cord [usb doesnt push any air] and its a small hurricane but my computer still runs very hot... this is why i remove the bottom protective panel which exposes the motherboard and copper heat sinks? [that might not be the right word but the copper rods that absorb the heat or so i assume because they are super hot]. anyway is this bad for my laptop? I would have posted my own question but this is a very similar thread.

I forgot to mention my laptops temps but the GPU is ~65 on powersaver when the panel is on and while its in powersaver running nothing too strenuous [if i go into high perf. its alot higher and will eventually overheat if im running anything intense].
