Hi Acer2000,
Of course knowing HTML ans CSS will alsways be usefull to build your site. And you'll need good quality photos as well. But using a COntent Management System such as Joomla can speed-up enormously the building and maintenance of your site. Most HOst now offer "one click" isntall of Joomla 1.5 and there are thoussands of free templates. Plus using a database drivem site will allow all sorts of interactive / dynamic applicatiosn.
