Outlook 2007 not closing/removing email from server
Hello,
Sometimes, when I close Outlook 2007 it closes fine, other times it remains as an active process and another instance will not run until I terminate the process in Task Manager. This happens when Outlook fails to retrieve / delete all my POP3 emails from the server.
To get Outlook to work properly I must do the following:
Stop the Outlook process in Task Manager
Use the email Web client and login to my POP3 server
Manually delete all emails
Restart Outlook
Do send receive
Stop Outlook
Restart Outlook
Now it will run correctly, properly sending, receiving, and removing emails from the server for as long as it stays active in memory. If I close Outlook I stand about a 30% chance of it running correctly the next time I start it.
I’ve deleted and rebuilt my *.pst file and deleted and recreated the POP3 accounts.
Also, my Windows Mail (Outlook Express) at my office works perfectly with the same POP3 accounts.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance.
