We'd be limited in what we could do from here without you being able to run any tools to produce analysis logs.

You say you get to a blank desktop. That's a bit different from "when I turn it on it does not respond".

Can you open Task Manager? ctrl + alt + del

If so, you can run applications from there. If you can open Task Manager, can you run explorer? From Task Manager, File > New Task (Run) > type explorer >press Enter

If explorer will not load, what exact error message, if any?

Does Safe Mode with Command Prompt load for you?

Do you have a USB stick drive?
