Re: Linux as an alternative OS
hi,
I had major problems with Vista, so much so to the point where I was going to try and downgrade to XP, after a while thinking about windows and MS as a company I realised that a Linux OS was the way to go. So after doing some research I chose Ubuntu as my new OS, once I installed it (along the way removing all traces of Vista) I have found it vastly superior to any MS product. You have to get used to the way it works as it is different from Windows, but I have found it quicker to boot up and shut down, the apps that come with it work really well, it is very user friendly and it is upgraded every six months.
I would say have a good look around to see what OS you want before downloading and installing, my advice would be go for Ubuntu.
Regards Andy
