Exclamation Battle For Middle Earth 2 Vista problems... Tried all solutions

Hi.

I've had Battle For Middle Earth 2 (reffered as BFME2 from now on) on my vista machine for around 7 months. I installed it sucessfuly back then. It failed after every atttempted solution. I recieved a frozen splash screen. I returned the game back then, thinking it was a defect. Now I come back after those 7 months of BFME2 deprived depression, and now I've come across several new solutions, so I bought the game again. These all failed:

-Putting the Options.ini and the Maps folders in the AppData\Roaming\The Battle for Middle-earth (tm) II.

-Giving the game.exe and all the data along with the main game files full priviliges under my user account+administrator privileges.

-Reinstall (the old trusty manual way of fixing it didn't help here )

So I spent about 3 hours scouring the web for more possible solutions to no avail. After doing all of these, I got rid of the frozen splash screen, but now an error screen saying "Please insert the correct disk". I had inserted the correct disk, and I made sure my CD/DVD drive wasn't broken. And so, I'm stuck here, dying from not being able to play BFME2.

In Addition:

I have all the latest patches (V1.06) and also I contacted EA 7 months ago, and they said they couldn't fix anything, but said I could get a new CD for $12 for a replacement, and try it then (the game cost me $10 so I would be losing money, so I declined)

Help me please. Thanks

Could anyone be of assistance?

HP Pavillion Elite m9340f
