Hi i have a optiplex gx150 that has been reformatted. Im doing a course on windows xp profeisonal, in order to learn the upgrade from windows 2000 to windows xp prof, what will i need. Should i buy a windows 2000 OS then buy a disk for the Drivers for the optiplex gx150, Then once installed go through the stages of upgrading to windows xp prof, as i have a windows xp prof os disk with licence?

Im just a bit hazy on this upgrade. and want to learn all aspects. I know i could buy a disk or download the drivers needed. but once i have this installed then install xp would it then tell me what was compatable and then i could download from there.
Id appreciate any help on this matter.
