Why on earth would one save every 10 mins with a different filename?! Hasn't this user discovered Word's 'save autorecover info' feature, which can make a backup just in case everything goes pear-shaped, as often as every minute? or the 'always create backup copy' feature? Both are under Tools|Options|Save.

Presumably, all these saves are via File|Save As. How is she trying to open the file - via Windows Explorer or the Word File|Open menu? Which version is she having trouble finding - the most recent save, or one of the others? And is she being careful about where she's saving them too (does she even know)?
