Hello i jusr recently installed a new hard drive in a PC for a buddy of mine and when i fired up the PC everything worked well but when i went to connect to the internet via cable modem it gave me the cannot connect page it gives i finally got it to work somehow and when i unplugged the PC to take it back to him and hooked it up there it started up fine but when it got to the desktop it restarted by itself and then when it loaded up it went back to all the previous settings how it was before i changed or deleted anything, like it restored it self to an earlier time,, and i cannot get the internet to hook back up it it windows millennium
