Well, here's what I was thinking. The 5 1TB drives will be used for media storage, and the 2 80 GB drives will be used for backup of important data (in addition to disk backup). I was going to do a RAID 1 array w/ the 80GB drives for some extra precaution.

Edit: BTW, for a 24/7 server, is it necessary to have "enterprise-class" or "RAID-class" harddrives? It's about $50-$60 more expensive compared to the normal drive, and I don't really know if it's just marketing or actual reliability gains. I was also considering the Ecogreen drives. Do you think, however, there will be a noticeable performance drop, and if so, would you say the reliability benefits outweigh the performance drop?
