Web Easy 7 - Publishing XHTML & Dynamic

Hello All:

I have a dilemma that needs honest answers.

I've created a navigation bar at the top of my screen and was recommended to use "dynamic website" to publish and "split frame" for the last page (which holds the navigation bar on a blank page) for the navigation bar.

1. This allows my pages to remain exactly the way I created it with no problems except...

a) When I publish the site, the pages aren't listed as they are named.
b) My shopping cart buttons don't work.

2. When I publish the site as a XHTML the links appear black where they are supposed to be white against my green background.
a) Pages ARE listed as they are named
b) Shopping cart works sometimes.

What in the hell is going on? Am I missing something here. I am not a web-techie, however, It's not rocket science. I can't find the straight forward answer anywhere!

Please help!
