No Audio Device Detected

I just got an Gateway DX 4800, it has

Acer FMCP7AM motherboard
integrated Realtek ALC888/1200 @ nVIDIA MCP79/7a soundcard
It comes with windows Vista home premium x64

I have installed windows xp x64 on it, after which I notice my sound no longer works. I have tried drivers from

Realtek (high def audio driver for window xp/2k3)
Gateway offical site (vista only drivers)

I have gotten them to install but upon installation a bunch of unknown device was detected, and on Sounds and Audio Devices it continue to show "No Audio Device Detected".

After this I have also tried to install a Creative SB Live! 24-bit (SB 0410) PCI sound card into my computer, I also disabled Onboard Soundcard and have tried installing the SB driver using both the Windows disk and the Official Website, the same problem arises. And I am sure that the SB sound card works hardware wise.

I also checked service.msc to make sure that Windows Audio is on "stated" and "automatic"

Can anyone help me out?
