WOW shutting down laptop

Alrighty, basically WoW has been shutting down my laptop. I'll start playing, play for maybe 10 to 15 minutes, and then Click, hard shut down. Normally i would figure this is a heating problem of some sort but, i played it fine for a year with no slowdown and no shut offs of any kind. Lately i've had some trouble, so i'll explain.

A couple months ago my laptop was getting extremely hot in the spot where the HD is and where the AC adapter plugs in. Eventually my AC adapter quit working and i called dell (Its a dell XPS M1530) to get a replacement. The guy on the phone had me check the BIOS battery health meter thing. When unplugged from the AC adapter, it showed the Battery as Discharging. He said this denoted a bad mobo (battery controller or some such) and i needed it replaced. he sent a guy out, replaced it. At this point the hot to the touch areas ceased. A few days later i checked the battery meter myself and while unplugged, it still said the battery was Discharging. So he sent me a new battery this time. Put the new battery in. It STILL says Discharging while unplugged. Through all of this from the start, i started having massive performance loss in the game as well as the problem previously stated with random restarts after the mobo was replaced. I'm about to install another game to do a little test.
But, what could this be? I came here because honestly, I'm hard of hearing and its hard for me to understand dell's tech support and I'm tired of talking to them. I'm trying to figure out if its a wow problem or if something is still wrong with my laptop, in which case end up having to call Dell again anyway :-( .

Thanks in advance for the help.
