Thanks for the hep, Dai, but could you tell how do I find out if it is HD sound? There are no sound devices or any sound playback devices listed under Control Panel - sounds and audio.

Also, when you mentioned "installing the sound driver," is this something I should be downloading from the Intel website, the Microsoft, or the Dell? (Googling UAA driver and specs led to the Microsoft website - is this where I should download the UAA driver as well?)
