First thing that comes to mind would be to take a look at the M-audio 2496. Sounds to me like a perfect match to your speakers and you are not going to go wrong with the quality. You didn't mention if you were running 64bit or not but check the reviews if you are.

Can't say much about cabling as I haven't gone done that road yet but I saw a guy on Amazon talking about using Audioquest Diamondback interconnects for his set-up.
