Tech Support Forum - View Single Post - Firefox wont open, but shows in processes list!?

Hello There =)

I have been having some trouble with my internet browsers =/, not only Firefox, it's also Internet Explorer!

The problem with firefox:
Firefox is showing in task manager processes, sometimes many times, but not in applications, and a browser window won't open. This happens whether or not I click on the desktop icon to open FF.

I made no changes to my configuration, it just started happening....again! It has done this in the past, and I cannot remember for the life of me what I did to fix it.

I have deleted it, reloaded it, tried many of the "fixes" in the Mozilla help forums, to no avail.

The problem with IE:
IE is doing the same thing, except a browser window will finally partially open, but it just keeps trying, with no luck, & then finally I just close it.

I'm using Windows XP, Chrome (google browser), AVG Paid Version, FF & IE. I just checked, and all of these are the updates versions!

Can you help me out please?!
