Ok ....thanks for the reply johnwill ..the modem I have is the BILLION BIPAC 5102SM if that makes any difference...At the back of the modem I have one power connection point, one reset point, one LAN port and one ADSL port for the cable from the ASDL telephone adapter socket.
I am by this point guessing that you're guessing (quiet rightly as it happens) that I don't know a lot about this stuff.
What I am trying to achieve is to have an internet connection on this PC and an internet connection (assumed for ease to be wireless connection) on my NEW HOME BUILT PC ...that came with a faulty, though NOT dead motherboard and which the good people here help me sort out and aided me in building my very first PC...for which I am eternally grateful. :-)
If I don't need a router can you please advise me how I can get both PC's connected with the same ISP.
