Re: Xbox 360 Microphone Problem

If its broken then there's no harm in opening it up and visually detecting any problem. Who knows, you may be able to fix it momentarily with tape since its just a headset board were dealing with. I had an issue with someones turtle beach adapter for the controller, inwhich allows the mic signals to travel out. First off, the turtle beach models for the 360 are ridiculously inconvenient when it comes to wires.
Anyhow, the problem was the pin going to the controller itself, the very tip was broken(check your adapter to verify the same inconvenience). I had a spare adapter with similar connections(another headset with the same problem as yours) and replaced the pin and worked successfully.

But what I noticed internally in the headset with the same problem as yours, that when you opened the small container housing the connector to the controller, that a wire HAS COME LOOSE! It was a small black one, if you have a soldering iron you can solder it back on. So like I said, open it up and see if you can visually see any quick fixes before spending money on a whole new one.
