Looking into creating a new gaming pc

I've decided to get a new pc, one that can be used to play high-end games, such as crysis.

My budget lies between €800 and €1200.
I don't really prefer any brands, if it works without problems, it's good for me.
I'll be using several rather heavy programs on this pc, such as 3ds max, valve hammer editor, and games such as crysis.

As for the HDD, i figure a 500GB drive will do for now.
I'm considering that i wait for win7 to be released, or use the beta, but i have win xp from this pc.

The case should be large enough to carry everything, plus additional space if i ever need to add to or upgrade it. It should also be properly cooled. This will be an all included pc, so keyboard, mouse, etc will also be needed.
I already have a screen, so i will only need to make sure it works with the new pc. It's an LCD widescreen with VGA port, i guess i'll need a piece to fit between it and the GPU.

I'm from belgium, and i'm planning on going to a nearby store to order all the parts there, and hopefully, have it be assembled and tested there, to ensure it's working properly, as this is my first true gaming pc, and i don't want to have to pay for a component more than once.

Any ideas?

Note that i tried to do this a year ago, but i didn't get it, this time, i will be getting it.
