Hi I have a Gateway ML6226B laptop, with Vista Home Basic, 32 Bit, SP1, 512MB of RAM, Intel Celeron M CPU 520 @1.60GHZ.

Having lots of problems with vista as the laptop is not up to running visita, so I would like to try a different OS. How do I install ubuntu? Do I have to uninstall vista? If so how? And is there any thing else I should know before installing and running ubuntu?
