Cant get Hp laptop to connect to wireless network

Hi all
I have a HP 500 laptop and I just re-installed xp home and I went to the hp site and got the correct wireless driver, installed it and it says its working properly in device manager.

Now I still cant connect to my wireless internet, I use a D-Link router, which I have WEP enabled. When I put in what I think is my network key it says:

"The network password needs to be 40bits or 104bits depending on your network configuration. This can be entered as 5 or 13 ascii or 10or 26 hexadecimal characters".

If someone could help me that would be great....
