Wireless problems ONLY in Vista[MOVED]

I'm having an odd problem with my wireless card, or not odd considering its vista....

For some reason my connection is intermittent and won't always connect when I boot my laptop. It fails at a variety of places most generally aquiring DNS address, or the gateway IP, so says the built-in diagnostic tool that came with my laptop. I have tried the windows "auto-fixer" with no success. At first I thought it might be a driver problem, but I actually have two wireless cards, one is USB, and the other internal, and neither will connect consistently. Also I have a live CD of Backtrack that I am using that has absolutely NO problem connecting, ever... period. My USB wireless card is the only one with a supported driver that I have gotten working but it always works...

So:
Its not a driver problem (2 cards, 2 drivers same problem)
Its not a router problem (The connection works in linux)
My deduction is that its a problem with Vista, and its networking interface.

Any suggestions on things to try to get it to work more consistently?
